Repatriation of a family that has lived away from their home for a number of years can sometimes be more difficult than the initial adjustment to the host country. According to available statistics in this field, more than half of employees returning from an overseas assignment said that their company did not sufficiently prepare them for their return and what they would face on their return. Almost one quarter of returning assignees left the employ of their company within one year of returning home.
